But according to Kyle Sandilands, US singer Jason Derulo was left utterly heartbroken following the end of his relationship with model and now new mother, Lara Bingle, a few years ago.

Kyle, 44, claimed on his KIIS 1065 show on Thursday, that he had to console Jason who was left in tears after he flew to Australia to catch up with the blonde beauty, only to hear she was on holiday with English footballer, Danny Cipriani.

The radio host said Jason wrote his 2011 song 'IT Girl ' about Lara, whom he started dating in 2010.

'Can I say though, he wrote this IT Girl song for Bingle and then he flew, a lot of people don't know this story, then he flew into Australia in between touring in Asia to surprise her, as like a "hey babe, I've flown into Australia,"' Kyle explained.

'And then Lara was in the Maldives with some clown from a football club in Melbourne,' he continued, before his co-host Jackie O interjected, saying 'Danny Cipriani.'

Kyle said Jason, now 25, was at the time in tears.

'And that was all over Who Magazine and Derulo saw that and...he started crying in my arms and he was very upset.

'...He was crying with me, in the studio, couldn't believe it. Tears were running down his face.'
