Definitely not. They have a huge amount of support still and it's only a matter of time before this country switches back to the more wholesome and conservative ideals they champion.

No. It will be a long time before they are done (there are a lot of conservatives in the 40-70+ age range) and they still have a lot of time to shift their social ethics liberal before those people die off.

People are obstinate. No one likes leaving one party in power for very lost, so every few elections they vote for the other guy.

Because the United States has a two party system, and the other party is the GOP, we will keep going to back to them.

Honestly for now, yeah. We probably won't see another conservative president for quite awhile. The younger generation is more politically passionate than people give them credit for and they're overwhelmingly liberal, and they're the hands the country is being passed on to.

Young people have been liberal for decades. This never pans out because people become more conservative as they age, plus the Republican party in general has been slowly drifting to the left on the big social issues. For example, the number of GOP politicians who actively oppose all gay marriage is only a fraction of what it was 10 years ago.

Yes. Just look at them. At the forefront, they have another Bush (who registered as Hispanic), a closeted gay (Lindsey Graham), and some more clowns who run every four years but can never get the GOP nomination.

Depends. The current youth doesn't vote as much as other groups, so how many of them turn out will be the deciding factor.

I also think that if the Supreme Court says yes to gay marriage for example, this will be the last election where their candidates (at least most of them) will say they oppose it being introduced. Like said above, it's only a matter of time until they're over social issues and disagree with Democrats only on other things. That's what happened with several European conservative parties, they got over social issues and I predict the same for the GOP platform in a few years.
