Probably because she's smart and knew when Jay/Bey were trying to get her onboard that Tidal was a sinking ship and she knew better than to give 1989's exclusive streaming release [a huge deal] to a company no one would use

Actually nothing has been said about Tidal. Taylor has not announced whether she will be on Tidal or not. As you say, it does not go against her values, so once she decides to put 1989 on streaming services, she will be on Tidal too. The only reason why she wouldn't be on Tidal if she has an exclusivity deal with Apple Music.
We already know it's going to be perfect, but it must have Last.fm integrated in it to be better than Spotify. Apple I hope you will buy LastFm and integrate it in your Apple Music. :S

Tay is not putting her flawless work anywhere near Flopidal.
There's no real harm or benefit to Taylor joining Tidal. The service does not have enough subscribers to be profitable nor will any of the artists on the service see substantial earnings from streams on the platform.
As someone mentioned before, it's good that Taylor dropped out at the last minute and didn't sign any exclusive deals, because they would have had lessened impact than premiering on VEVO or some other service.
Apple I hope you will buy LastFm and integrate it in your Apple Music. :S
