Anyway, no. The objectification and sexual exploitation of lesbianism (colloquially referred to as "lesploitation") doesn't make being a lesbian any easier for them. They're objectified enough simply by being women. When they're exploited for their sexual identity as well, it just makes life harder for them.
However I think what does make society more accepting of lesbianism is the fact that female sexuality seems to be much more (openly) fluid than male sexuality. Female bisexuality is seen as being more "real" whereas male bisexuality is a stepping stone to fully coming out, especially if the guy is aged 13-30. If he's still identifying as bi in his 30s, then he most likely is.
