Well, yeah, you do have to be cool with the voice. It's clearly edited more in some places and in general you can tell she's starting to age, but it's still Madonna. Plus, I got into Madonna with Celebration, so even though I was exposed to her vocals from all points in her career, she sounds totally natural to me. If you're someone more into 1992 - 2001 Madonna, she does sound different (which I think she could have avoided with more vocal practice like she used to do around Evita and RoL).

Also, she does hardcore fanservice with the Dita cameo in Best Night, the Vogue sample in Holy Water, etc. and that **** gets me.

Britney Spears doesn't care about eating healthy or her body right now. In ten years, when her sons are 18 and out of the house, that's when Britney Spears will have the cliché middle-aged mom "I-need-to-do-things-for-myself-now" mindset and perform harder and try harder to be "in shape," that is if radio/the media hasn't completely abandoned her by then.

It was kind of pandering to commercial trends in my opinion, but it was well executed and it was a good album.

Her only bad studio record was MDNA, and we should probably all just agree that it didn't happen outside like 4 or 5 songs.

i grew up with 80s madonna cuz my mom used to have lots of greatest 80s hits compilations and i would always skip every song till i was hearing one of her 80s hits... i used to jump to into the groove and play the floor is lava game

then i also remember seeing her 'weird outlandish' frozen video many times on the telly which got me so intrigued and loved her beautiful stranger song the next year... it was a summer hit here in the netherlands

in middle and high school i used to listen to american life, coadf and hc a lot before graduating

Most of what was done on HC is what is being heard today. (new age funk, urban pop, etc.) Especially since most of it was produced by Pharrell and is now replicating some of this stuff from HC to music he is producing today.

Matter of fact, I don't think it's trendy at all during it's time. That time was a lot more of a robotic 80s pop sound with an insurgence of edm.

I think it's ahead of its time, to be honest.

She has done a great job of copying Gaga. She even has the sewer rat look down pat!

It would've been amazing sung by Rihanna or Britney (although both released better albums the year prior). Madonnas vocals sound atrocious over those beats. She has no swag or flow and it came off as so forced and awkward.

The songs were definitely good tho. Timbaland and Pharrell did a damn good job.

And yeah, MDNA sucked gaga balls.
