I thought about that too, but indulge me for a minute--I think something like this would really motivate her. She isn't doing it for herself, but for Michael, and I think that's a lot more important to her.
I don't think weight would be an, er... issue. I don't know why she was still slightly chunky on tour but we all know how quickly she can get it off.
The other things were just BS to cover up for poor ticket sales, which wouldn't be the case for an MJ tour that involves all the rest of the Jacksons. And yes, she can still perform.
In fact the only female that--IMHO--is currently on par with her, performance-wise, is Beyonce Britney Ciara. Janet is 43, Beyonce is 27...
