How exactly are families going to be protected when someone's parents are gonna make a big deal about their kid's sexuality? Or when someone's parents kick them out on the street? How are families going to be protected when LGBT kids have no outlets to express themselves without judgement and as a result commit suicide?
Exactly. These "conservative" people are the ones advocating for families separating from family members because they are LGBT and have society treat them like trash.
This is just a simple civil union law. It has nothing to do with children, but the homophobes always use children as puppets for their silly movement. Like you said, they are the ones making a big deal out of nothing.
On topic: Most of the people in that picture are old. They will die soon and a bit more of the weight will be lifted off of society's collective shoulders, so that we may make a little more progress. European/White people are the ones who spread homophobia around the world in the first place so it's some sort of poetic justice that LGBT activists are rising up in these countries FIRST.
