I do support pride parades of minorities oppressed by their society. LGBTQ parades, African American pride parades for example, etc.

The whole point of pride parades is to be loud, colorful, and uninhibited.
We commemorate everyone who has ever had to hide who they are because
of fear of violence, hate, or losing their loved ones. It wasn't the quiet in the closet gays
who stood up for their rights. It was the people who weren't afraid to stand up and be who they are.

I just want those parades to actually be loud, colorful, and uninhibited instead of the loud, exhibitionist and perverted mess you see sometimes.

Evidently somebody else agrees with me on this. I don't see how it's helping whatsoever because it's making the LGBTQ community seem so 'special' for having a special event yearly or so and instead doing that we should just be approaching sexuality as a natural thing, which it is.

Lol at people saying "I don't think we should have pride parades, that's too over the top." Why shouldn't people have pride in their sexuality? Should people not have black history month because they're too over the top? It's normal to take pride in things such as these.

As for not coming out, it sounds like you jusr don't want to tell people. Any form of saying "I'm gay" to someone for the first time is coming out.

We still need pride parades because so many gay people are planning to stay in the closet forever because they think gay is not okay.

Yes, sexuality is a natural thing. However, gay people are not straight people and they should feel no need to be. Should minorities act like white people in order to stop discrimination? That's not how it works. Take pride in the fact you are gay and you are different because it's not a bad thing.

Yes. They're incredibly fun. Plus you have to remember that it is a celebration of all sexual minorities,so not everything is gonna be this PG family get together. There are parades that are just as vulgar as Pride and people don't complain about those. If you don't like how your local prode is set up,don't go. It's not hard for you to find people who prefer more reserved methods of celebrating.
