Anti-gay parade in Italy claims to be > 1 million
Quote:
I took to the Piazza San Giovanni in Rome, to defend the traditional family and to stop the spread of gender in schools. An event "for the family", Cirinnà against the bill, which according to the organizers, has mobilized more than one million people. In the capital it would meet, the whole world pro-life Italian. "We say 'No' to any form of education which denies the sexual differences," said Secretary of the Popular Christian (UPC) Antonio Satta -. We have to recognize the rights of the individual, but this should not lead to a distortion of the family institution ".
After the flood, a piazza San Giovanni wonderful and sunny! The force of nature! #FamilyDay #stopgender #siamounmilione
Senator Pd Monica Cirinnà, rapporteur of the bill on civil unions, says: "I did a job of including all the families, all the love and all the suffering. We, I love all talk of freedom and rights for everyone. I think the Family Day has been a place of privileged heterosexuals who claim to want to keep their privileges. "
Among the first to attack the mobilization Franco Grillini, president of Gaynet. "A demonstration useless and odious, as all manifestations of hatred. Why that today is nothing but a homophobic characterized placed deep hatred towards LGBT people and their rights - he said, speaking of the initiative by the Committee 'defend our children '-. It is said that we want to defend the family but no mention of any of the disease within the family and economic problems that make it difficult for anyone, hetero or homo that is, to start a family. " "Another hoax at the center of this event - he added - is the plot 'gender' completely invented in the rooms in the Vatican."

Here's an article in English
Quote:
Hundreds of thousands of Italians gathered in Rome Saturday to demonstrate against gay unions and the teaching of gender theories in schools, as Prime Minister Matteo Renzi tries to push a civil union bill through parliament.
Holding aloft banners reading "The family will save the world" and "Let's defend our children", a sea of people crammed into the San Giovanni square near the Italian capital's historic centre to support family values.
The square, which can hold an estimated 300,000 people, was overflowing with the young, elderly and parents with toddlers, an AFP photographer said, with many more demonstrators spilling into nearby streets. Organisers for their part said one million people were taking part. Italian police never provide figures for demos.
"In my children's schools they are talking about families made up of two fathers or two mothers, without asking parents' permission," said 41-year old doctor Giuseppe Ripa, adding: "It's dangerous and wrong."
Fellow protester Piero Uroda, a 78-year-old pharmacist, said it was "not honest to say these things to the very young, it's not like they are students who can debate these ideas."
"I don't want gay marriage or gay adoption, the natural family is like ours," he said, pointing to his relatives gathered around.

So their main problem is that people want to be happy and get "married" (well actually it's just a civil union). Typical: christian, old, 60+ and those are the people who are getting our money for their pension.
And oh they are attacking the "gender" movement (Pro-Gay, Feminism etc.). Same like our right-wing party. Time to ban Religion from our schools.

This article in Italian (use google translate ) explains how messed up are some people. They believe there is an evil plan by the lgbt community + European Union + UN to destroy the family, give children to hormones to turn them gay and send them to re-education camps if that fails.
Italy had to adopt an anti-discrimination law imposed by the European Union, which included anti-discrimination education in schools. Many families have since attacked and effectively shut down these education tools by labeling them as "gender theory".
One was letting kids in a pre-school dress up as the opposite gender if they wanted to for fun, to try and teach that not all males need to be masculine and females feminine... The right-wing media has attacked this by calling it "**** education in pre-school"

Okay, that's ****ed up.
"There is also a card with a game called “If he were she and she were he,” where boys and girls are expected to exchange the clothes they are wearing: the boy dresses as a girl and the girl as a boy, and they discuss how they feel in that new “role.”"
Jeez!

I'm not surprised, Italy is still a very conservative country (my family is Italian), although those numbers seem a bit skewed.
I'm not a liberal, but I definitely think people should have the right to be happy, regardless of who they're with.

I am seriously disgusted by my own country. Everybody should be allowed to have a family, a real one, with real rights.

How? A piece of fabric doesn't have a gender. It is unfathomably stupid that we continue to pass down antiquated traditions that have already been demonstrated to be outdated, oppressive and completely unnecessary. We're not in the ****ing Victorian era, let go of that ****. If you want to be conservative, then focus on conserving the things that don't harm or oppress people.
On topic: Most of the people in that picture are old. They will die soon and a bit more of the weight will be lifted off of society's collective shoulders, so that we may make a little more progress. European/White people are the ones who spread homophobia around the world in the first place so it's some sort of poetic justice that LGBT activists are rising up in these countries FIRST.

How exactly are families going to be protected when someone's parents are gonna make a big deal about their kid's sexuality? Or when someone's parents kick them out on the street? How are families going to be protected when LGBT kids have no outlets to express themselves without judgement and as a result commit suicide?
