As a Dominican myself, especially one raised in the island I can only tell you that there are a lot of reasons, more than what yall have been citing as to why both nations hate each other. The truth is that the new law is plainly ridiculous and very racist HOWEVER, there is a lot going on, a lot of mutual hate and misunderstanding and the worst part is that BOTH governments are very corrupt and really don't care about the socioeconomic standing of their citizens and the issues they face, hence why I really think they have failed to notice that this law is pretty crazy.
