It's true. I made this point long ago. there are very few stars in pop/rab/r&b/country/rock which is why everything is so homogenized.

Missy is from an era where you really had to carve out your individuality and understand what influence means.

Influence doesn't mean take and she's always had an issue with lack of originality.

that's why there are very few stars that stand the test of time now...

She's mentioned this multiple times...about male and female rappers as well as pop and r&b in general.

there's almost no originality and no true stars and that has to due somewhat with all this stealing from the past and not being an individual.

the 90s/early 00s generations understood how to take influence and still be an individual.

There's only maybe 3 rappers that are original nowadays.

Still not seeing it as a diss or naming Nicki but a hit dog would holler so maybe the barbz are defensive for that reason
