I make a very decadent Creme Brulee French toast with spiced rum and challah bread, but I only do it once a year on Christmas morning.
Otherwise . . . waffles, because they are the most convenient to make fresh. Just put the batter in the iron, no flipping.

We have a waffle iron at home but it makes them too thin. I prefer the deeper waffles
