Open world action adventure title with simulator elements.
First and only game to have a open world environment where the world actually felt alive and it had realistic day and night and weather cycles. Fully voiced non-player characters with their own daily schedules, quick time events, and various other interactive elements such as vending machines, arcades, and convenience stores.
Businesses were open depending on the time of day it had a battle system like Fighting Force but deeper and you learned new moves.
The story itself is about Ryo finding his fathers killer and he meets friends along the way and learns of something deeper than just finding revenge.
Lan Di was in search of a mysterious stone mirror known as the Dragon Mirror. His search led him to the home of Iwao Hazuki, whom he had some connection with in the past.
Iwao's son, Ryo, had just returned home, and arrived at the dojo in time to see the two older men arguing. Iwao refused to divulge the information of the mirror's whereabouts, and the two martial artists engaged in a short fight. Lan Di won that fight.
