Star Wars & Batman vs Superman will have to do a lot to break these records

This movie could have easily ended up disaster but they did a great job. They brought something completely fresh to the franchise while still keeping the magic of the original (also loved all the subtle and not so subtle nods to Jurassic Park as well).

This is such a great movie! I went yesterday and I'm so happy I decided to watch it right away. I loved it.

Considering China's expansion since 2011 until now, HP still having that record is a feat in itself. Ofc JW having the total debut record is unbelievable, but HP managing to still have the international record despite the second biggest movie market exploding since its release is pretty incredible.

My expectations are now so inflated that it'll be a miracle if I'm not disappointed when I FINALLY watch it

Awesome movie, it deserves it. Hope it manages to join the 2 billion dollar club where it belongs.

Hollywood doesn't use inflation as it means their biggest movie was released 80 years ago and the industry has been declining ever since. Not good for the shareholders.

Though Avatar did come close to being the biggest movie ever, so that's nice.
