I said merely that TWD is more popular and better. I don't think it deserves to be called goat or win a bunch of Emmys either, the way many of you stans feel about GoT.
Buffy was on The WB/UPN and BSG was on SyFy, networks that Emmy voters do/did not take seriously and can't/couldn't really afford awards campaigns. Game of Thrones is on Emmy voters' very favorite network, HBO*, home to hundreds of Emmys. Not the same thing.
*One notable exception is The Wire, which is generally agreed to be a goat but was too dark and gritty for general audiences and voters to love.

Oh so GOT is not dark and gritty? Anyway, saying TWD is better is just absolutely ridiculous. I respect your opinion and yeah, you can like TWD but, seriously, those writers have absolutely no idea what character development is, and it's a character driven show!! They've managed to give Carol one of the best arcs/development ever on a TV show, but 90% of the characters are just terribly written.
I mean season 2... that has to be the worst season of any tv show in the history of television. A bunch of characters talking about stupid things, doing nonsensical stuff and revealing absolutely nothing about their personalities/motivations/evolution. And to think the pilot was a masterpiece...
Anyway, GOT is a masterpiece and you will deal. It will always be remembered as one of the best TV shows ever created.
