BET is apparently not giving Ms Jackson her due diligence. Smokey Robinson instead will be bestowed the honor of the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award. The BET Awards air live June 28.

Yeah poor Janet. All she has is her lifetime achievement awards from the AMAs, VMAs, Soul Train, MOBO awards and Billboard Awards to keep her warm at night. But let's cry over BET.

It is kind of strange to get a lifetime achievement award in your mid-40s.

Well she has very few songs known globally so it didn't even make sense

Anyways, Janet will probably be honored by BET somehow, sometime soon. BMG wouldn't pull that out of nothing. And they wouldn't mistake BET for MTV either. (BTW has your fave ever had a MTV Icon? I don't think so.)
