It's apparent that the media and businesses are trying to get views and attention by type casting a transgendered.
Before Caitlyn, there was ZERO transgenders on The Amazing Race, Survivor, Big Brother or most reality shows now they're the "in" thing. They're mainly doing this in order to get buzz, but I feel like it's being disingenuous since they should have had some in the past.
I fear that they will portray or edit them negatively, rather they just edit them as the person they are. These shows should not be considered as a form of activism, that's like saying that Frankie Grande being on Big Brother was a push in the right direction for the gay community. It's a bit exploitative and can lead to things being very ugly very fast.
