Cyrus says that some of her people are a bit worried about some of the more far-out ideas for her new album. “They’re like, ‘Don’t make it too weird, don’t make it avant-garde; you can’t go from Miley to Björk!’” she said.
SHE’S WORKING HARD
Quote:
“Just when I think I have my record done, something new happens where I want to write about it”, she said. “I just, I don’t know what I want to go out there.”
SHE’S MUCH MORE REFLECTIVE

There has been some talk that Cyrus has been in the studio with indie rocker Ariel Pink, who would surely help Cyrus produce some heartbreaking tunes.
TWERKING MILEY STILL MIGHT BE IN THERE SOMEWHERE
Quote:
Cyrus has said for months that Mike Will Made It, the producer who shaped most of Bangerz, would be very much involved with her next project. “I don’t have to have writers, I don’t have to have ****in’ producers in there. Mike Will will text me a beat, and I’ll go in my studio and work on it by myself.”
COUNTRY MILEY IS IN THERE, TOO
Quote:
Cyrus has worked on some songs with rapper-singer iLoveMakonnen. Described one (song) as “kind of heartfelt and almost country.” “It’s gonna be deep when it comes out,” he said. “It’s definitely not like the clubby type of poppy record. It’s more like a real timeless, heartfelt record that’s gonna be picked up in movies and sh–".
Their Ariel Pink comment was a little dense. Just because he's alternative doesn't mean his music is heartbreaking. Most of his songs are really sexual or jokey, and based on that gummy snippet, I could see her doing something in the same vein.
