Siliconera has learnt that Square Enix are developing a Final Fantasy VII remake for PlayStation 4.
The Final Fantasy VII remake will use a more modern art style for Cloud, similar to his appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It is being created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII.
(And no, this isn’t the Final Fantasy VII port for PlayStation 4 that was previously announced by Square.)
This was posted by a member of NeoGAF who has posted insider information before. The mods at NeoGAF who are extremely strict about rumors and bafoonery on their forums have "verified the poster" which means they've privately spoken to him and acquired intel that proves he isn't BSing.
It's assumed the game will be announced at Sony's E3 press conference tonight at 9PM EST with more details to be revealed tomorrow during Square Enix's conference.
I hate FF VII with a passion. I got trapped just before the end with no way to win. I scattered the pieces of the 3 discs to the 4 corners of my living room.
UGH the Gold Saucer is so ICONIC. I spent HOURS in there doing the Battle Arena, Chocobo Racing, snowboarding, and finding Mog some ***** among other things.
I played this when I was 6 and got stuck at the first boss because I didn't give a **** about the instructions
But I played it again when i was a little bit older and it slayed my entire existence
So ready for this remake since my brother got a PS4 that I can use
actually this isna great idea since SE really can only rerelease or remaster games. Their new games are mediocre
