Traditional Japanese is almost written exclusively in Kanji because they stole their alphabet from Chinese. And it's much easier to write certain nouns and subjects with Kanji instead of Hiragana for a few reasons. One is that there are no spaces in Japanese so if you see a sentence with full Hiragana you may not necessarily know where things begin and end quickly. If you have Kanji to break it up then it's easily seen where things begin and end. Second, Hiragana is almost exclusively used if you are a child, you need to write verb stems (or adjective stems) or if the Kanji is too complex or obscure.
Lastly it looks better to write in Kanji. If someone really loves me they will write 大好きだよ instead of だいすきだよ
Even though I always assume people are older than they actually are even in real life.
