I have The Driveway from an original promo CD thing... I aint got a clue about quality, but it must be decent???
If you have the physical CD you should be able to rip the highest quality audio from it onto your computer. I use a program called 'Max' when ripping physical CDs to my laptop, in both lossless FLAC quality and highest quality 320kbps MP3 (I only use MP3 files on my iPod).
Does anyone know anything about (A)? Of the album exists anywhere? How did we get the majority of the tracks, but not those other three? And how are some of them in HQ, some of them aren't? Ugh I'd spend so much money to get this album, it's so good
I don't think we have anything substantial on the album Katy made with Island, I've never seen a real source for the tracklist and I have no idea where the "(A)" part of the title came from when the promo video for the album only says "Katy Perry" - which confuses me as her stage name was Katheryn Perry in 2003 when the album was being made as can been seen and heard in the video, but whatever.
It's OK To Believe is the only confirmed track from the album that leaked since 2009, and that just came from wherever all leaked demos come from. Maybe she was trying to sell it off. Box was on a promo CD with Fingerprints in 2007 and idk about the rest.
I'm guessing the re-mastered Long Shot and Hook Up came from her selling it to Kelly and someone leaking it in the process? Wish You The Worst was sold off too so the better quality leaks probably came from that kind of thing.

(A) Katy Perry is just the working title I think, wasn't it actually going to be called Fingerprints?
Yes, I always found that odd. I can't imagine them ever calling it '(A) Katy Perry', but I do recall 'Fingerprints' being a possible title. Katy Wiki also says that ToY and WUIV were recorded during those sessions but were outtakes from the (A) Katy Perry album, but why would they not make the cut and then be used for OOTB? That never made sense to me either.
"Fingerprints" was her 2006 album with Columbia, other tracks on that album were Waking Up In Vegas, Box, If You Can Afford Me, Cup of Coffee, Wish You The Worst. Due to there being similar writers, tracks such as I'm Still Breathing, Sex Sells, The First Time, The Driveway, Self Inflicted, Takes One To Know One and Lost were probably all made around that time too. AKA One of The Boys take 1.
"(A) Katy Perry" was her 2003-2004 album on Island Def Jam, which that promo video is for.
I really strongly feel that Thinking of You would've also been on both Fingerprints and (A) Katy Perry, but I have no sources for that other than her saying it was the first song she wrong in LA (though I might be making that fact up..) along with it being her favourite.

Thanks for clearing that up. It makes sense that they were two different records on two different labels. There was an original music video for ToY too so I'm assuming it was meant for the 2004 album, and it could have been carried over to the 2006 album too.
All of that time in limbo, to finally get a single release... and flop. Poor Katy.
I wonder why she likes Cup of Coffee so much. It got a video on her 2004 album, was a bonus track on her 2008 album and was presumably on her 2006 album. Might be the only one that survived her entire career until she made it.
