Yeah in a few years. I've been calling it since 2013. ATRL won't last to the end of 2017 and if it does, most of the people on it now (and relevant) won't be on and the new members won't be unique enough to keep the ATRL kiis going. Also, with the major pop girls taking bigger breaks (Bey, Rih, Katy, Tay, Adele, P!nk, Xtina, etc.) it leaves the site pretty dull until one of their releases. Nobody is here for these new girls like Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Becky G, Lorde, and others yet in the same hardcore way people are here for the older pop girls.
In short, ATRL is on its last legs. It's part the site's fault and part pop culture being so mainstream and boring too.

Obviously, everyone here now will be banned at some point and if they don't allow any more new members; the nice people left will be bored and leave.

You sounds like an old fart.
For the next decade everyone will be talking and fighting for Lorde, Tinashe, Taylor, Adele, Jasmine Thompson etc.
And our fomos then will still believe that Britney is relevant.

Well it's bound to cease to exist like all the things on earth, but hopefully not this century.

It'll stay. Back in 2007 it was full of Ashley Tisdale stans fighting right? New pop girls came around and they attracted new stans. It'll happen again.

I'm sorry, but this is just utter bull. You're literally like 10 years off the mark, if that. Pop girls will always peak and fade, and new ones will always happen. It might be your opinion the site is dull during periods where moderate names are more active, but clearly the 5.2k active members and the thousands of guests we see every day are sufficiently entertained.

Just curious why hasn't registration been open in 2 years?! Wouldn't that number of 5.2 active members skyrocket and make more money for the website and just make the website more popular? But I don't mind either way as I have an account lol

I reckon there's at least another decade or so left of life.
The thing is, recently a lot of people are being more social about 'pop' music or entertainment in general and I reckon sooner or later ATRL's type of social communication will migrate over to a much larger site in the near future, rendering ATRL and her sisters useless. I don't think that'll be happening very soon though.

Yes, probably before the end of this decade. I just don' t see it make it past 2020. I feel like the forum really lost its spark. Back then we had TRL, the NHB thread, members that really stood out, we were aloud to make any type of thread we wanted. Now everything is way too politically correct. We can't make this thread because it will get closed, we can't say this because we might offend someone and get warned. It's makes the forum boring. It wasn't like that when I joined almost 9 years ago.
I still come back though because I am a loyal member, but it's so different now.
