Why don't you feel sad for him? Just because he had a drug problem doesn't mean people shouldn't grieve.
He had a problem, so why didn't he do anything about it and left himself to die from an OD?
Many drug addicts know they have a problem but they can't stop it. That's why there are rehab centers that help with that, IMO...
I do feel bad that he died at a young age, but not as much as I'd be sad for someone who died at the same age for a natural cause.

I know of many people that have been to rehab clinic after rehab clinic. Rehab doesn't always help. Drug addiction is a serious problem that can't just be fixed with the flip of a switch.

HOW's that not an excuse? Rehabs do not always help the problem and for you to say that's not an excuse for someone to continue using that drug makes no sense whatsoever. It's not the patient's fault that the care isn't efficient enough to permanently steer them away from substance.
I don't think some of you understand the neuroscience behind addiction. It's not easy as saying "just stop doing it", it's not just about willpower. Your body and mind becomes literally dependent on these drugs just to feel normal or get through the day. Addiction is extremely powerful and destructive and sometimes rehab works for some people, other times it just doesn't. It's nobody's fault, it just happens to people who end up in the wrong situation, and often times they succumb to it.
There's always got to be that one extra person who knows nothing about addiction but feels the need to open their ass and let it speak. If it were easy to get clean, every addict would do it.
