I don't know about all of you but I'm currently moving bc my sister is so homophobic and makes it her mission to make my life hell at home. She calls me names, tells lies about me to everyone. So now I'm moving at the end of this month to a place with a doormen by the river/park with a full bar with another Roomate who travels months at a time so it will like having my own place

Anyways I'm so excited to leave and get rid of that toxic negative energy, how do u guys deal with homophobic ppl? If any Atrlers want to come to my apartment and u live near NYC pm me

If you've just come out and your parents aren't accepting of it, or reacted harshly, I'd give them space and time.
They'll come around eventually.
Just remember that it took you time to be comfortable in your own skin and that it will take others time too.
It's all a period of adjustment.

I don't deal with them. My brother hasn't been talking to me for almost 5 years now. I don't care 'cause I got a good job and true friends.

Im just telling them that they are not open-minded and that gays havent done anything bad to them

Thank goodness I don't have to deal with homophobic people in my life.

Shake it out I guess. My friends are all loving except for one. My family is homophobic and they shade LGBT people almost everyday.
