No, you're just not too intelligent or aware of the world. Black people come in all skincolors. That's why "passing" was a huge thing in 1950's,'1960's. In my family we have everything from superlight skin with reddish afro's and green eyes to ebony black.
The people are not "blind", you're view of the world is limited.
