On Sunday, at the 28th Southeast Asian Games, held this year in Singapore, medals were awarded in the men’s 3-metre springboard diving event. These two men did not win.
John Elmerson Fabriga and John David Pahoyo were diving for the Philippines. Or, that is what they were nominally attempting. What they ended up doing, in these two dives, is closer to the kind of thing you might attempt later this summer, off a dock somewhere.
I couldn't do a triple backflip.
