She will. No one considered Amy a legend while she was living, but now it's undeniable how special she was. Eventually people will realize just how special Lana is.
Most artists haven't had albums that matched Born To Die's cultural/sales impact.
The Fame, Beyonce, and 1989 are the only albums released from recent "major" artists that have had any significant cultural impact more than Born To Die. The fact that she sold 7 million copies of BTD (w/ Paradise) coming out of nowhere is insane. Ultraviolence sold 880,000 copies it's first week worldwide.
She doesn't even chart her singles on Billboard but still sells albums like hotcakes - and that's what matters. She doesn't need airplay or billboard top 40 singles success to sell her albums, people enjoy her enough to want to buy a full album of hers, and that's a key piece of being a legend.
If her career continues in the trajectory it's going in she will be a rock legend, end of story.
I mean when your debut album is still selling almost four years later, your second album did really well to. All with no hit singles, no gimmicks, and basically never being in the media, there's clearly something there
shes already the best new artist of the 2010s decade. give her a few more albums and she will ascend to legendary status. Queen will get the recognition she deserves one day.
but wait at all of the praise for Lana in this thread. I knew some of you had good taste in music

As of now, the correct word to describe her is phenomenon. If Lana can pull off more Born to Die-level sellers (and keep in mind she's only had TWO albums), no lies spotted
