Would a movie starring herself have happened accompanied with a soundtrack album instead of Glitter?

Would she have been like another Celine Dion right now, a diva that was huge in the 90s with ballads which she brought with her in the 00s without much success but every album of hers was still at least 1x platinum?

She'd have ended up extremely unhappy if not dead.
