The artists have to make money somehow and since streaming is not a viable option, they're going to have to come down hard on early listeners and premium users.

Let's see.....
Now:
500 people buy a drake album for $15 each on release week. = $7500
300 people buy a Nicki Minaj album for $15. = $4500
Total =
$12,000 of which Young Money gets a cut of
With Apple Music Streaming:
300 people a Drake album release week: $4500
200 people don't buy the album, and wait b/c they have a $10 subscripton: $0
100 people buy Nicki release week: $1500
200 people don't do anything, stream with Apple: $0
= Young Money cut of
$6,000
If any of those 200 buyers people overlap, Young Money have lost sales from
2 different artists that now has to come from
1 Apple subscription.
