Yeah, I also struggled a lot to make friends when I first moved, I didn't identify with the people who were the same ethnicity as me tbh but neither with Americans at first. To be honest I still have like 2 or 3 close friends at most but now I know it's because I'm an introvert and not because of my ethnicity.
