Now though? Anything from Can't Be Tamed and before doesn't really count considering she was just a kid. I felt like the Bangerz-era started out pretty disingenuous. She seemed real as a person but her person-
a felt like an affectation what with the urban influences and all. But
now she seems more real than ever. She seems to have embraced her creativity and going off and doing her own thing and imo shes literally the only interesting pop star out of all of her peers to have come from her gen of tween child stars. Shes the only one with her own identity and point of view thats trying to and has the capability to do more than just your mediocre out of the can top 40 pop bop. And I think the fact that everything shes doing right now isn't going to resonate with everyone, especially her more basic fans and consumers, is a testament to how genuine shes actually being to herself now.
