Then one day some time later, i was hearing the radio and the song started. I was with my cousin, i told her something like this "Wow, this is catchy, how is it called?" and she told me something like "I dont know, first time i hear it". Then the chorus came and i remembered the title and i was like "Oh, its the Taylor Swift song. This is weird, she was never played in the radio before, but this song is good". Yeah, for some reason i remember getting all excited about hearing that song and i wasnt even a fan. It was very weird if you ask me

I didn't watch the stream live because it was aired in the middle of the night here, but I woke up early in the morning, very excited, I don't know if we knew the new song was coming, i don't remember, it was so long ago, i can't even
I guess I turned on my computer and checked iTunes right after and then I saw Taylor being #1 with a long-ass title song, I was like wtf, but my second thought was: "what a great single cover" and then "what a genius move". Later I checked ATRL, the song was everywhere, I found out it took her 48 minutes to reach the top and then I downloaded it and went straight to heaven. I mean, maybe I wasn't like "the best song in ****ing forever", and of course I thought about "Call Me Maybe", my biggest jam of 2012, but WANEGBT was definitely someting I wanted from Taylor, even though I knew it wasn't as good as "Call My Maybe". I never lied about my stanning for pop music and when she released a pop song, I was blessed.
You don't even realize how I felt when she released Shake It Off. That whole stream was surreal to me. I remember that day, the single release party in the base, the whole anticipation, meltdowns when the first red update showed up.
We're getting old
