Windows RT tablets have had this for years actually. You are correct about Windows Phone not having it yet though. Apple stays late to the party.

This is just Apple's artistic interpretation. It's art and revolutionary.

When Samsung released the Galaxy S6 they were calling it an iPhone wannabe for something as simple as being made out of glass and metal, but now when Apple releases splitscreen multitasking - a feature that Samsung has had for YEARS, and it basically looks the same as Apple's - they say others are "obsessed" or "reaching." If this was the other way around Samsung would be getting dragged and called cheap, copy, plastic, etc.

I was able to do this on my 5.5 inch Note 2 around 3 years ago. I remember, at that time the iSheeps were calling that phone "too big with gimmicky features that no one really used or needed." Then they got the iPhone 6 Plus and now they're getting the same features. Innovation.

Samsungs innovation was bigger displays. I don't know how much of it is innovation or people's tastes changing over time.

Secondly, Apple has had the first multitasking macs since the 1980s. Multi-windows and multi tasking isn't anything new. Samsung just implemented it in their tablets first. Bit whoop! Apple has had it on their macs since before there was a Samsung. It was a reach calling multi tasking a Samsung innovation when it wasn't. Secondly, it's not really about who gets there first. It's about who does it better.

Samsung copied the metal and glass iPhone 6 almost to a T down to the speaker grill on the phone and the curved edges. It's just a little too obvious. No one had a speaker grill in recent memory that looked like the iPhone 6 until the iPhone 6 but now Samsung has it just 6 months after. Samsung even got rid of their removable batteries and extra storage capabilities the two slight advantages they did have over Apple's iPhone 6/6+. LMAO!

Apple users like the OS & designs of the phones.


Samsung hardly inspired Apple. Multitasking is nothing new.
