This is actually a smart move. I think she and her team can sense that the iron is rapidly losing heat and they need to strike while it's still lukewarm. I can't say I'm surprised that it's another "ft. pop girl on a catchy hook" though. This will be her 6th in a row since 'Fancy.'
I remember like 6 months ago they did testing to see which would be a preferred single out of 'Trouble' and 'Heavy Crown,' and Iggy said they weren't going with 'Heavy Crown' because it didn't test as well, and now here we are. If it is a single, it's definitely because they're trying to piggyback off of Ellie's success/relevance from 'Love Me Like You Do' in my opinion.
