Edwin McCain (the guy who sings that "I'll Be" song that was in every 2000s rom-com and plays at nearly every wedding) is from a major city very very close to where I live. I know friends who have met him. My mom says that his dad works at the pediatrician's office I used to go to. Also, I believe Kevin Costner lives there too. I actually knew two kids who were related to him somehow (maybe nephew/niece) when I was in middle school. They even have the same last name.

My mom swears she met Cuba Gooding Jr. one time. I was with her, but I was a baby. Also, when Trina was popular, she performed at a local club that my mom worked at. Had to fulfill all the demands on her rider and such. She still hates her to this day.
Leigh-Anne from Little Mix used to visit her mum in the next town along from me, and the actor who plays Liam in Eastenders went to my high school and lives about 20 minutes from me
Also I went to high school with a kid who was an extra in The Hunger Games and is / will be an extra in one of the Mockingjay movies. I know that's not famous, but that's another story I thought I'd share.
