I started to try to be a vegetarian last summer in June and I lasted until December with ease. However, I developed a deathly soy allergy and had to stop. Usually I'd eat soy products to make up for my protein, but the allergy basically eliminated that. Right now I've eliminated red-meat completely (mainly because I have a sensitivity to anything that comes from a cow) and pretty much relying on fish for protein. Having a nut allergy too makes it hard to find food that provides enough of your daily intake for protein.
I hope to become a full vegetarian soon, I really do.

That's a tough situation, but, like TheNight said, stick with legumes, beans, lentils, etc. There's also quinoa and other grains, hemp protein and pea protein. Working around nuts and soy is admittedly difficult for a vegetarian or vegan, but it can be done.
I would definitely look online for more information, resources and recipes as well.
