Those were the album's I was thinking of using.

Let's limit this to the nineties - would not be opposed to a OK Computer/Nevermind/Ten rate. Might want to through in Live Through This for a female perspective, although I'd prefer it saved for THIS WAS 1994.

If you were going all eighties, I'd go with some sort of combo of Sonic Youth/R.E.M/New Order/The Cure/The Replacements/The Smiths/The Pixies. Maybe with ABC or Pet Shop Boys thrown in for some variation?

I think I'll go for the Classics because it might be easier due to just being singles, perhaps?

Motion has Pray To God, Dollar Signs, Together, Summer, etc; it features big artists.
PITM has Lean On, Powerful (Ellie), All My Love (Ariana), etc; some unknown artists.
Déjà Vu is made for ATRLers.
Pharmacy is perfect.

8 singles each - although I'm really STRUGGLING to come up with a fifth female fronted band from the golden days. Jefferson Airplane/Starship? But then you'd have to include We Built This City ...
