There is a lot of racism, transphobia and biphobia in the gay community. However, there's a lot of hate towards black gays + trans people and the LGBTQ community in general coming from black straight people, and a lot of it results in violence, harassment and murder. While the racism and transphobia within the gay community is usually prejudice, the hate that black people often show to black LGBTQ people and other LGBTQ people comes across as hatred. There should be more of a focus on queer black people, who are more likely to be shunned by their own community (both the LGBTQ community and the black community) and the victims of hate crimes.
