okay so before I talk about my dream, let me just say I have a lot of weird dreams. I often have "inception dreams" and "lucid dreams". Lucid dreams are basically when you're aware that you're dreaming and then you can sort of control your dreams while you're in them. Inception dreams are basically when you "wake up" from one dream directly into another dream (if you've seen the movie Inception this will be more clear).

So my dream two nights a go was BOTH of these things, which is the first time that has ever happened in conjunction. Usually I just have either one or the other. I can't actually remember the first dream I had but all I remember was I "woke up" in my bed in my bedroom. It was a very familiar setting, which is always how my inception dreams start. But I knew I wasn't awake and something was wrong. Someone or something was after me. I knew I had to wake myself up because I had work in the morning and I didn't want to sleep through my alarm (yes I was thinking all of this logical stuff in my dream ) and so in order to test if it was a dream I decided to jump at my window and I went straight through it to the front lawn. I also tried sliding behind my bed while I was lying in it and I did kind of like sliding into the ocean. It was really weird, but basically it meant I knew I was dreaming then.

So from that point, I was still worried about waking up that I knew I needed to shock myself or hurt myself in order to wake myself up. I tried shutting my eyes and prising them open but I just stayed in the dream state. So I went outside into my driveway and it was dark as it was nighttime but there were cars coming up and down the road so I knew if I got hit by one of the cars it would wake me up. That's how sure I was about the fact that it was a dream, I was willing to get run over by a car. It gets kinda dark from here because I run out onto the road but the cars keep swerving and none of them hit me. At one point there are cars coming from both ways and I just stand in the middle of them but they both swerve and one crashes into the side of the road. It was a white ute. Then I jump on the back of the ute and the driver is suddenly there too, with a gun pointed at me. He says something like "Don't come any closer, don't make me do it". I realise this is what will wake me up. So I lunge at him and he shoots, but the gun is jammed.

Then I look down and in the tray of the ute are all of these knives. So I know what I have to do and I pick up one of the knives and I stab myself in the head. That's how sure I was that I was dreaming. But as soon as I did it, doubt set in and I was like "What have I just done? I've just killed myself..." and I even FELT a bleeding sensation from my head. That's when I woke up, not even abruptly, but slowly. I just lay in bed for a while and my alarm went off like 15 minutes later. But it was really scary because of what it made me do to myself. Whatever was after me really didn't want me to leave that dream.

I think GotSkill wants to lose so he can spend all his time with his new bf (Oh, and can we have a round of applause for him for dating up like that? ), but if they break up in like a week he'll wish he was still here to submit sad breakup songs, so I'm not giving him a zero yet.

GS, you should live your life don't worry about this. At the end of the day, ATRL won't mean anything to you while that guy will.
