Was this song by chance Diggin' Up the Heart or Untangled Love? Those two are definitely the weakest imo, but the album is incredibly strong as a whole.

Critics do not solely work on their own opinion.
Their reviews have to match what the magazine or site they represent stands for/what the readers expect. And the perception of the musician and personality outside the music plays a role as well(see Chris Brown reviews or Born To Die)
And I never disagreed with the fact that Taylor is pretty acclaimed or more acclaimed than Katy. I just said that this is not proof that she makes better music.
