Anger as Jenner chosen over Lauren Hill for ESPY award
ESPY = Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly last time I checked Jenner hasn't performed in any sports for quite a long time. Clearly ESPN going for the money and puiblicity instead of giving the award to someone deserving.

Hill wasn't the only overlooked candidate people were made about. Iraq veteran Noah Galloway, who lost most of an arm and a leg fighting, but still competes in extreme sports and almost won this season's "Dancing With the Stars," also had hundreds of tweets from fans irate over Jenner's choice.
So is this award supposed to be given to a single person whose contributions transcended the sport they're/were in or is it supposed to be given to the person that has been through the most and is the most courageous? The latter seems more like a competition and not recognition, which those people are making it seem like. Just applaud everyone that prospers / does something positive and move on.

it is ONE award. there are MILLIONS of people going through the same **** that are just as "deserving" if that's what you want to call it. you want them all to get an award?

EDIT: I know its for athletes, but my point still stands... not everyone can get the award. the award is superficial anyways. It's all about respect and you can pay your respects to this person in many other ways. None of them, however, involve bashing/complaining about Caitlyn.
Caitlyn was more relevant and successful in her sport so naturally she would be awarded over the others. Of course ESPN was going to award a gold medalist over people who never played professional sports or were in anyone's Olympics of any kind.

Lauren refused to quit and died never giving up the game she loved so much. Noah didn't give up after he lost his leg and half an arm in Iraq he could have. Instead he became a motivational speaker, participates in extreme sporting events and goes on DWTS.
Either one of these two could have one this award but it would have done nothing for their ratings.
