Hunter's mistake was going pop on his second album He should have waited at least three more albums after his debut so he could build a fanbase
His mistake was writing a song as terrible as Invisible, singing it terribly in the studio, picking it as the lead single and singing it terribly at the Grammys.
Country radio is very loyal, you have to mess up bad to lose their support. It's embarrassing that Hunter failed so miserably.
(in fact, his sophomore isn't available in Spain so I had to settle for this album he released in the UK with some new songs and remixes like this one)
Does anyone have Gaga's non-pop recurrent AirPlay. I never hear her on pop stations but they seriously play her all the time on oldies/mix stations here.
Country is not unknown everywhere outside the US.
There is a small(but growing)following in Canada, Australia, and the UK.
But who cares, some of the best albums ever are country and Nashville is amazing.
There are some ok ones that I have no other choice than like them because they are being played all the time on the radio.
Banda groups are also barely the only artists that can sell a good amount of albums here in Mexico. The latests diamond songs/albums are from them mostly.

WaiT this version of the song is really good, it might even be better than the original
