I genuinely feel like it might have actually been better for her public image to admit she's not a big enough star to sell out arenas yet. She could've been gracious and admitted that they aimed too high so she'll record some new music, build some buzz and try again next cycle, no?
Why can't she be a good little girl and keep her mouth closed for once? The cancellation didn't need anymore explaining than your postponing did because everyone with 2 brain cells or more has already calculated the trajectory of your career. There's no use to trying to save face. At least cease with dignity.
@ her stans calling this honesty. At this point people still go in on Iggy so much because her stans run around like "yasss queen make them seethe!! Better than Azealia!!" and defend her tragic decisions. If her stans cared more about Iggy than trolling stans of other female rappers she might not have ended up like this.
Please. Let's be real Iggy. If there was huge demand for your arena tour like you insist on perpetuating.. your label and sponsors would NOT have let you cancel unless you were injured. And it's also an insult to your remaining fans to insinuate you canceled just because you didn't FEEL like it and needed a BREAK. Who wants to invest in a wishy-washy "pop" star?
But let's cut the facade and be honest: the REAL reason is that there wasn't heavy enough demand to fill an arena. But her made-up excuses makes her sound even worse.
She really keeps digging her own grave. No one is going to want to work with her and radio is already blacklisting her.
Why does she insist on an arena tour? This was destined to be a failure. Stick to the ballrooms and theatres until you've established a STRONG (I mean really, really strong) presence.
