Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe will relaunch THE GRUDGE franchise, it was just announced over at Deadline.com. MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN scribe Jeff Buhler is penning the reboot.

The first GRUDGE remake came out in October 2004 and grossed a stunning $39 million in its opening weekend, on its way to a $187 million worldwide haul.

They should reboot The Ring not The Grudge, I like it but it's way too soon and it's gonna flop and go straight to blu ray anyway.

They are. There's a prequel to the first two remakes coming out in 2015

The Japanese version is def so scary, all the throat sounds are just o__O but in terms of storyline, I prefer the American one.

I liked the original (well the English one with SMG ya know what I mean) but this is unnecessary. 11 years is not long at all, it's not even looking that dated yet
