The singer sat down with Kyle and Jackie O on their Kiis FM breakfast show on Thursday and the talk quickly turned to Ricky's non-existent love life.
In January 2014 he split with his long-time boyfriend Gonzalez-Abella, and Kyle was desperate to know whether he had played the field since.
'I am single. I'm in a really good place right now. I was in a relationship for seven years and I guess this is where I need to be.'
Always one to take it to the next level, Kyle made reference to his own stint as a single guy following his divorce from ex-wife, Tamara Jaber: 'I'm in a relationship right now, but in between the relationship now and before that, I went through a sex addict stage, have you gone through that stage?'
Roaring with laughter at the insinuation, Ricky confessed: 'You go back to purity... you know what I'm saying. I'm open to a new relationship... let's just put it that way.
