It could mean a lot of things. Most likely not what we want though.

The excuse "d&d cut it from the show, so it must not be relevant" is wack.

LSH is the justice the Starks deserve. Her purpose is to kill the Freys and all those aligned with the Lannister who still reside in the north. She's the embodiment of "The North Remembers." The satisfaction of having the Starks avenged was such an amazing plot twist because the Starks have been losing since Book 1. (All because the didn't listen to Catelyn hihi)

If they're not doing her in the show, fine. It's honestly their loss. But she's plenty relevant.

Imagine LSH popping out of nowhere at the end of this season. Nah the finale is probably about Cersei. Ep8 will be about her in prison, ep9 the trial & ep10 the punishment.

If they have a problem with her origins being that of a vengeful zombie, be creative, use some agency and flesh her actions a bit more, the show has room for this character to be explored and developed richly.

TRUST ME, skipping a few rape scenes in order to squeeze some LSH would do this trash some good, in spite of what the disgusting mysoginistic writers seem to think.

They can easily adjust a couple of things and have her in a bigger role, If characters that barely have three lines per book can be turned to main characters (Margarey, Podrick, Bronn, Ellaria, Osha) then why not LSH ?

Maybe the show creators think introducing LSH so soon afterwards would have 'spoiled' the legacy of the Red Wedding? It was a shocking, controversial scene that made a big statement about the series -- that no one is safe. So they're either waiting a while or just won't do it at all, idk. I still hope they do.

You are so wrong. First of all, the show has discarded MANY plotpoints that may later be useful towards the conclusion of the novels, and they are aware of that with D&D actively saying that the show differs from the books from Season 5 onwards.

LSH is extremely important to the series for several reasons. First of all, GRRM created this series with the intention of subverting many fantasy tropes, which is why he killed Ned Stark first, when many presumed it would be a story that followed the straight white male protagonist the entire time. Another trope was the "good guys winning" idea, which is why he killed off most of the Starks and other characters we like such as Oberyn. The books have Catelyn Stark as a MAJOR POV character because the mother figure doesn't usually get a lot of attention in fantasy genres, and what happened to her that led her to turn into LSH is the culmination of that

Also, the Brotherhood that worships the Lord Of Light brought her back to life, and that is yet another example of how LoL is really the one true god, rather than the other religions like The Drowned God or The Faith Of The Seven. That has impact on Stannis, Melissandre, Gendry, etc. (though I think they will die)

You're right in saying she may not be essential to the ultimate conclusion, I don't see her staying all the way to the final novel, but until then LSH could potentially make a lot of **** hit the fan. Especially if that one fan theory is true that the Others/White Walkers are actually the 'good guys', and that they ruled the earth before Men came and caused a war with them and now they're back to reclaim what is rightfully theirs which would obviously be relevant to her since she's undead.
