A young woman says she is worried she'll never get a boyfriend because she reckons she looks too much like Rihanna.
Bianca Guthrie, a 25-year-old stylist based in Hackney, says that men only ever date her because of her resemblance to the 27-year-old Bajan popstar, and is sick to death of being stopped in the street by people who are convinced she's Rihanna.
'I'm single because I look like Rihanna, pure and simple,' she states. 'Boyfriends have dated me purely because I look like her - it's always the first thing they say.
When I was 14, people at my school told me I was her double,' she recalls. 'One time in London a group of tourists ran across a busy street shouting "Oh my gosh it's Rihanna!"
'I like Rihanna but when you get asked it 100 times it loses its appeal quickly.'
Bianca said she ended up cutting her long locks off to escape the continuing ordeal but was infuriated when Rihanna followed suit.
'Next thing I knew, she'd cut her hair too, and we looked exactly the same again,' she complains.
Bianca is now so paranoid about her resemblance to Rihanna, who has been regularly voted one of the sexiest women on the planet, that she goes out of her way to dress differently.
'
I've found myself going online daily to see what she was doing or looking like,' she admits. 'I went through phases of doing it to avoid a certain look.
'I had my hair red and then a week later Rihanna did it. Everyone thought I had copied her so I dyed it back.
'Then I went blonde and was told I looked like Rita Ora - I couldn't win.'
