Brand is not just about selling singles, albums or tour gross but the overall capability of an artist to influence and generate profit in market. So obviously katy is making more money than gaga but whose brand is actually bigger in the general sense? Gaga has more acclaim and respect which greatly increases her value as an artist + her peak is the biggest in the last 10 years. Katy seems to be getting bigger every era too though she hasn't dominated the industry yet.
