This album was so helpful in studying for finals this past week or so.
With Roisin's solo stuff I love that her albums are pretty much in their own lane and not comparable. Ruby Blue is still my favorite by far, but the other two are perfect for what they are as well.
I'm not entirely getting the PIB vibe from "Gone Fishing" at all, but I like the track.
The entire track is about being segmented from the rest of society and trying to find a place you belong where you can just be yourself, and finding new friends as family much as the drag queens used the balls for.
This album really gets better listen after listen. I thought I had my favorites but they keep changing. The way House of Glass moves forward and builds to the ending might be one of the best things she has ever done. I
I've been re-discovering this album in the last few days, and it still gives me life.
That opening trinity of Gone Fishing - Evil Eyes - Exploitation, woo
The title track has also grown on me massively. This will probably become one of my favourite albums of the year.
