I think she's definitely an example of how a reputation can be sullied through social media. The thing is, I don't think it would have been half as bad if she hasn't exposed herself as a racist (and there's no debating any of her comments, so don't try it stans). If her old comments hadn't been exposed then at least her PR could've spun a "she didn't know she was being racist" story regarding her faux blaccent. Between her twitter, the slave master line, and the rise of social justice in the media, Iggy never stood a chance in this day and age. If she wasn't so hateful and ignorant she really could have had a career (people will usually defend the **** out of moderately attractive white girls)

Exactly. Last year plenty of people were so ready to stan Iggy just because of her chart positions - even giving her the benefit of the doubt despite her racist twitter comments already being exposed. It's funny to see the tide shift once the media turned on her. People are sheep.
